Your blood tests show that your vitamin B12 level is low. B12 has several important functions in the body, including keeping the nervous system healthy. Vitamin B12 is found in meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, yeast extract (such as Marmite) and specially fortified foods.

It is important that we treat this deficiency. To do this you need to have a course of injections for B12 over a two week period, followed by a daily tablet long term.

We would be grateful if you could ring the surgery and request to book in for new B12 ‘loading’ injections with one of our nursing team.
